Lessee must provide a Certificate of Insurance with the Coos County Conservation District listed as additionally insured and also include a minimum general liability coverage in the amount of $300,000.00 per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage.
Lessee must participate in a No Till Drill Training that we provide before renting the drill.
The drill is used for seed only, not fertilizer!
Lessee will be given the Operation Manual for the drill and a Material Rate Manual. These can also be found on the Great Plains website below.
Drill must be greased according to the manual and returned cleaned.
Tool Rentals
Tool and Equipment Rental Program
The tool rental program was originally established with funds received from Specialty Crop Block Grant. With this grant various tools specialized for high tunnels were purchased for commercial farm operations (of any size) to use free of charge. This was designed to allow clients to try-out these specialized, often expensive, quality tools before purchasing.
The success of the initial program has led the district to expand and include a much wider variety of tools available for use. Beginning in 2022 a $10 per use fee is requested to help maintain the tools and promote local conservation programs.
A simple agreement with each client, along with a check for a holding deposit (replacement value of the items) is all that is required for use of these great tools (check will be returned, when the item is returned). The time frame on the use of these tools varies on supply and demand, but is usually 4-7 days. A specific lending time frame will be determined and noted on the sign-out form before the equipment is used.
